A. I switched phones with my friend for a day, I have the blackberry bold 9700 and she has the torch, and I actually really liked hers! The only things that were not very impressive to me were the keypad, which was very small, and I made lots of mistakes on it, and the fact that when it slides out, it is really tall, and since the touchscreen part is very heavy, it tends to want to fall forwards, making it harder to type on the keypad. But other than that, the function is great, it's really speedy, lots of fun, and you can type in landscape on the touch screen or t9, or change t9 to a smaller complete screenpad. I think it's great, but if you need the keypad for business all the time, I must say I wouldn't suggest it.

How do you start new blackberry plants?

Q. By seed, dividing roots, root stock in water? If I bury a blackberry in a potting plant, will the seed germinate and start a new plant?

A. "It is an easy job to propagate a blackberry, even for novice gardeners. The best time is around mid-September. Select a stem which is in perfect condition (growing vigorously with no blemishes) and bend its tip to the ground. Where it touches the ground, dig a small hole about 15cm (6in) deep and bury the tip of the stem into the hole. Cover with crumbly soil to the surrounding soil level. If the stem looks like springing out of the hole, place a few largish stones over the soil to keep it in place (remove them two months later). Water well if the conditions are dry.

The stem tips will root in a couple of month's time, and can be dug up and moved to their final position early Spring next year. To do this, cut the parent stem about 30cm (12in) from the new plant. Dig up the new plant, trying to avoid any root disturbance and plant in their new positions. "

Q. I have verizon and I got the blackberry curve 4 months ago. I have had so many problems with the phone that I've had it replaced 3 times already. I am having problems with my 4th one, and I am fed up and don't want a new curve. I want the new storm with the new system, but I don't want to pay for the full price. Is there any way I get the 2yr contract price, even though I just started a new contract a few months ago?

A. You can always make deals with carriers and Verizon is no exception. Just go into the negotiation knowing that is what you want. I can't imagine Verizon not wanting you to sign on for 2 years, that's what every carrier wants, but you may have to pay a cancellation fee on the phone. But everything is negotiable. Carriers take hit on the handsets, even when they are not free. They have to subzidize them by having customers sign on for long periods and putting in the cancellation fee. Ask if you could sign a 3 year contract if you can get out of your original one. That might do it. Be creative. You could try this site for more information.

The reason that it's been reduced to the online price of $99.99 is that it's the advirtised "Online Discount" if you go to a store or decide to purchase the phone via verizon telesales dept (over the phone) it will cost you $199.99 and not the $99 advirtised pricing. The reason behind this, is that Verizon is that Verizon is promoting their site and wants users to become more aware of how it works and trying to make it more user friendly so that going online will be easier, other than the obvious "more hits a site gets" the better ranking the site has competitively.

However, if you already have Verizon services, you will either have the $100/$50 or the updated New every two amount (NE2 amount) of $50/$30. so if you in fact, do have current verizon services, you can take an immediate discount of whichever you have already plus an immediate Online discount of $100. If you do have a NE2 amount, it could potentially be more than the $100, but...its just hypotheticals.

According to The Boy Genius Report, (http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2008/05/13/blackberry-thunder-the-touchscreen-blackberry-weve-all-been-waiting-for/ ) the Blackberry Thunder, now called the Blackberry 9500, will launch in Q3 of this year. That means it will launch in the third quarter - July, August, or September (probably September).

A. I was reading about that as well, but don't have any other solid information other than it is supposed to be a full touch screen device. That's all I really know at this point. It will probably come with the newest 4.6 operating system (like the soon-to-be released BlackBerry Bold). It will also probably (just my guess) have a lot of the same hardware specifications of the Bold (like processor speed, memory, etc).

Where can I find affordable blackberry accessories?

Q. I have a blackberry pearl and am trying to locate where I can purchase affordable quality accessories like the micro sd and phone chargers. Last time I ordered off amazon.com for my old phone I paid about .99 for a car charger and should have realized it was too good to be true. I actually ended up taking the port plug-in part apart and saw it was put together with plastic not having any kind of metal or wiring inside to carry the plug in charge.

Can the Blackberry 8310 and 8330 use the same faceplates/accessories?

Q. Just wondering if anyone knows... I'm considering switching from AT&T to Verizon, and I have a Blackberry Curve 8310, which I love. I don't want to have to give up all of the accessories for it. From comparisons on the Internet, it looks as if they're the same dimensions, but the 8330 weighs more. Does anyone know if they're exactly the same, looks-wise? Thanks!

the 8320 and 8310 are exactly the same but there are slight difference with the 8330, i wish i could say i knew what they were but i know what all blackberry curve cases are designed differently. they're always sold for the 8310&8320 and then the same case is only for the 8830
