What are the possible advantages and disadvantages of the new Blackberry Torch?
Q. What are the possible advantages and disadvantages of the new Blackberry Torch?Im thinking of buying one.

A. I switched phones with my friend for a day, I have the blackberry bold 9700 and she has the torch, and I actually really liked hers! The only things that were not very impressive to me were the keypad, which was very small, and I made lots of mistakes on it, and the fact that when it slides out, it is really tall, and since the touchscreen part is very heavy, it tends to want to fall forwards, making it harder to type on the keypad. But other than that, the function is great, it's really speedy, lots of fun, and you can type in landscape on the touch screen or t9, or change t9 to a smaller complete screenpad. I think it's great, but if you need the keypad for business all the time, I must say I wouldn't suggest it.

How to transfer data from an old blackberry to a new blackberry?
Q. My dad has a Blackberry 9780 and I have a 8900. My dad is getting a android phone so he is going to give me his 9780. What do I do to transfer all my data to his cellphone. Also I want to erase all of his data so it would be like a new one. Or if a transfer my data from my old cellphone, all of his old data would erase and the data from my old one would be there instead?

A. The easiest way to do this is using the Blackberry Desktop Software.

1-Connect your Blackberry to your computer using your USB cable
2-Open the Blackberry Desktop Software on your computer (Double click it)
3-Wait till the Desktop software detects your blackberry
4-Click on "Device"
5-Click "Switch Devices"
6-Follow the Instructions.

The Blackberry Desktop software will first back up all of the files in your blackberry, then once this is done, it will ask you to disconnect your Blackberry and connect the new device (Your father's blackberry). It will transfer all of your data and files to your new device.

I remember in the past I didn't know this how to do this and I used to spend a looooooooooong time transferring all of the info from my old phone to my new one. It Sucked!

Hope this helps!
